Crock Pot Plum for One ReviewOn October 27, 2017 by 101administrativeprofessionalsday
The Crock Pot Plum is a great example of a smaller crock pot. When people think of slow cooker, they think of a large appliance that takes up half of their kitchen. What they do not think of is a nifty little 3.5 quart slow cooker that you can easily stow away when you’re not using it. Sound good?
The Crock Pot Plum for One isn’t exactly as it says. Whilst the idea is that it is ‘for one’, it isn’t just ideal for a single person. It’s definitely suitable for 1-2 people, possibly three people who are conscious about waste and energy consumption. Whilst some people like cooking as much as possible and using their leftovers for food later in the week, this isn’t the same for everyone. Some people prefer to just cook enough for them, for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you just like eating freshly cooked food every day. Another reason that you might not think of is portion control. If you’re looking to lose a little weight, then this kind of product would be perfect to prevent you from overeating.
- Easy to use locking lid featuring gasket
- The Programmable control is digital, and will let you program your cooking times. This can be anywhere from 30 minutes to a whopping 20 hours
- The dimensions of this product are 6.7 x 19 x 11.6. We told you it was small.
- It has a lid that has a ‘secure locking’ mechanism on it, meaning that it seals tight and you don’t have to worry about spillages.
Features of the product
Oven safe stoneware
The stoneware is completely oven safe, which is fantastic if you are going to be cooking lots of cottages pies and things of that nature. That way you can take the stoneware out of the pot and put it in the oven for a few minutes to crisp the top off.
Tight fit locking lid
Ever spilt food all over the floor? Yeah, so has everyone. That’s why many of these Crock Pots and slow cookers now come with locking lids, which is fantastic for those clumsy people among us. If you’re looking to get a Crock Pot that won’t have you spilling your food all over the floor, then you need the secure fit tight locking lid.
The compact size of this Crock Pot is what makes it one of the most unique models that is available on the market today. By being only 3.5 quarts in size, you can be assured that you won’t have any trouble fitting this in your kitchen.
This is in our opinion, one of the nicest looking Crock Pots that’s been released. We’ve made it no secret that we can stand the abundance of plain silver slow cookers that flood the market. And yeah, we know it’s only a slow cooker. But you have to take pride in your kitchen, and you can with the Crock Pot Plum. We love the retro feel.
Ideal for one or two people
Whilst you could use this for more people, this kind of defeats the purpose of buying a slow cooker of this size. This would be a perfect gift for a student, or in our eyes, especially for parents. We’re sure they would appreciate the space-saving Crock Pot, and it might give them some relief that you’re never going to move back home.
Not big enough for a whole chicken
Although other 3 quart slow cookers can fit a whole chicken, unfortunately this one cannot. This is a shame, but it isn’t the end of the world. If you want to fit a chicken into this Crock Pot, then you’ll just have to chop it up into pieces.
The Crock Pot Plum for one is a fantastic appliance, perfect if you’re looking for something small and portable that still cooks great food. If you’re looking for something larger, then please check out our post about the There, you might find something larger and more suited to your needs. Though you’ll be missing out on one fantastic Crock Pot.
